Curiosity
Linoone, Ambipom and Diggersby are the only Pokémon that have evolved the ability Collection.
Linoone is the only Pokémon that can use the Elixir Mix in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.
Sprites of Linoone do not change between the third-generation games and the fourth game (excluding animation).
Origin
The appearance of Linoone is perhaps a cross between Meles meles and ferret. Linoone can also be based on the legendary creature of Kamaitachi. It can also be based on Ramidreju; a long weasel, who has the gold obsession. This could be based on the obsession of Linoone for round objects.
Origin of name
The name of Linoone is a combination of the line, and Raccoon. It could also refer to its ability to run in a straight line.
Massuguma could be the combination of ま っ す ぐ Massugu, which means straight, and 洗 い 熊 Araiguma, that is, the Raccoon, or 穴 熊 Anaguma, that Meles meles.

All Pokémon of Wurmple family share the name of the species with the First Generation Pokémon.
