CascoonCascoon
Curiosity
Cascoon shares the same species with Metapod, Kakuna and Silcoon: they are all known as Cocoon Pokémon.
Cascoon Silcoon and have the same basic statistics.
Cascoon can learn Bug Bite after evolving from Wurmple despite not having a visible mouth.
Cascoon is the only Pokémon that can be found in a Safari Friends who is not of its type; you can find it in Safari Poison although Cascoon is pure Bug-type, probably because of its evolution that captures the type poison.
Origin
Cascoon is based on a chrysalis or cocoon of a moth.
Origin of name
Cascoon name probably derives from the combination of cask English words (coffin) and Cocoon (cocoon).

Biology
physiognomy
Dustox seems a moth with purple body and green wings formed from a larger portion and a smaller one, both rectangular with a cut in the side. At the front of this wing has dark green border and red ellipses. The eyes are yellow, with three blacks dots on each one. The large antenna on the head are the same color. They also have four very small red paws.
Differences between the sexes
The antennas of the females are smaller than the males.
Special abilities
With eyes able to use moves like Psybeam while with powerful wings creates vortices with moves such as Gust and turbines, or can spread a powerful poisonous dust, but also paralyzing or soporific powders. Being a nocturnal Pokémon can learn Moonlight, although it may also learn the Sunny Day and SolarBeam moves; his means of finding food in the dark, are the antennae, the Poison Moth Pokémon uses such as radar. The fact of being tied in the dark, probably allows him to learn Shadow Ball. Being a fully evolved Pokémon, it can learn Hyper Beam and Giga Impact.
Behavior
It goes to seek out and challenge all Pokémon that have attacked when he was a Cascoon. It still has a very aggressive behavior towards other Pokémon.
Habitat
They live in dark forests and prefer to go out at night, to attack other Pokémon in the dark.
Diet
Main article: Pokémon food
It feeds on leaves located in the avenues with its antennae. Also eats small insects that do not belong to their evolutionary family.
In the anime
In the episode The first capture of Vera, Jessie captures a Wurmple. In a fight against that of Vera, it will evolve into Cascoon, and in a subsequent match against Vera Silcoon in Dustox.

Curiosity
Lotad and its evolutions, along with Kingdra and Palkia, are the only Pokémon to have a resistance to Water x4.
Lotad is the only Pokémon that is currently able to learn Gun by breeding. In Pokémon Crystal, the only was Phanpy.
To date (Sixth Generation) no Pokémon has the same combination of Groups eggs Lotad and his family: 1 Water and Grass
Lotad can be seen as the counterpart Seedot: both are the third generation of Pokémon Grass-type, are part of a three-stage evolutionary line and evolve before level 14 and then with an evolutionary Stone (Water Stone for Lotad and Leaf Stone for Seedot ), and their lineages are located one next to the other in the Pokédex. Lotad is exclusive to Seedot Sapphire and Ruby, and are located in the same places. Both can be encountered in Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, and Platinum, with dual-slot mode, inputting Ruby and Sapphire for Seedot for Lotad. Both are located in the White Forest in Pokémon White.
Lotad and its evolutionary line have several peculiarities:
They have a combination of unique types.
They are the only Pokémon that are part of both Group 1 and Group Water Eggs Eggs Grass.
They are the only Pokémon that can have as Rain Dish Skill without it being hidden.
Origin
Lotad seems to be an example of a water lily.
Origin of name
The name of Lotad is a combination of lotus (Lotus) and tadpole (tadpole) or lily pad (water lily).
